ProAssets - Assets Management for Schools
ProAssets was specifically designed for the school situation, where there are often many identical assets. ProGen found in its research that most other asset management systems required the user to repeat the general asset details, for like assets, over and over again. A tedious and time wasting method. Also most asset systems assumed that an asset's location was pretty stable within the company. ProAssets easily caters for the high degree of mobility that occurs within school asset systems.
ProAssets can be used in a school of any size. It caters for the simplest of asset registers through to the complex situations found at many schools where the assets are distributed fiscally within a number of asset registers. ProAssets can be operated as a stand alone system, or it can be networked and have any number of concurrent users using it simultaneously.
Features
ProAssets operates on all known open system networks. Currently it is running on Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Millenium, Novell and NT networks.
ProAssets is fully Windows, Y2K(2000) and barcode compliant.
It has an easy to use, comprehensive manual.
ProAssets is provided as one of the modules integrated into our ProEd School Administration Software.
The assets can be recorded in any number of Asset Registers
The school can be divided into any number of Locations.
Each Location can be divided into any number of areas.
Assets can be grouped into any number of Types and Groups
Barcodes can be used at Location and Asset level.
A bulk facility is provided wherein an Asset can cover a number of identical items within the school. Therefore it is possible to define, say, a chair, and that the school has 100 such chairs, allocated as follows:
02 in Room 34
27 in Room 60
33 in Room 62
38 in Room 63
All of this is recorded on one asset register record with ProAssets.
The Rooms (Locations) do not have belong to the same Area or even Asset Register.
With this bulk capture facility, there is an optional facility where it is possible for the user to issue unique asset numbers and barcodes to each element of a GROUP ASSET, so that tracking can be done at individual item level.
A comprehensive set of reports covers all aspects of asset counts, values etc.. The Depart of Education requirements are printed as standard reports.
A comprehensive asset count module allows you to do rolling stock takes of any area or location, with immediate reporting on missing or misplaced assets, an automatic updates of changed locations.
Staff members can be associated with asset items.
ProAssets contains an asset booking and loan facility.
